"I assumed that jet lag was a fact of life when traveling. StopJetLag challenged my assumption and showed me how to naturally adjust to the rhythms of the countries I am flying to. The process is magic!

StopJetLag has allowed me to keep my flow of business going despite crossing 12 time zones. I am able to fly 20 hours straight, arrive in the country and begin working as if I lived there. Just as amazing is their customer service and support. I recommend it to any of my friends and co-workers who are traveling."

Questions and Answers

How can a coffee drinker go without coffee in the AM? I am a moderate drinker (2-3 cups a day plus 1 Diet coke in early afternoon) but I need caffeine (or so I think) to get going in the morning. I can try reducing coffee intake to 1 cup--is that a futile gesture?

It is better to use coffee as it prescribed. The ideal times are listed in your StopJetLag Plan. The coffee on the next day will be more effective for shifting his body clock if you can do that.

Why would I have caffeine in the late afternoon if I need to sleep that night?

The StopJetLag Plan does not require you to drink a caffeine beverage between 4:00pm to 5:30pm (based on your personal profile times). That time frame is just the most chrono-typically correct time when it does not shift your body clock either forward or backward.

On our trip to Greece, are you suggesting skipping altogether the airline dinner meal? I'll be hungry after all the airport anxiety. Should I eat light or carbs, etc?

Given the flight schedule for your flight to Greece and you personal living profile, it is best to skip supper since breakfast on Greece time is in only 6 hours. This will make it easier for your body to fully feel the effect of the high-protein breakfast on Greece time. As you know, it is normally approximately 12 hours between supper and breakfast the next day.

I will often take a mild sleeping pill (Sonata 5 mg) to help me get to sleep. Do you know of any problem with interaction between this and the melatonin? I would take it soon after take-off I was thinking.

We do not recommend the use of sleeping pills. The use of the more natural high-carbohydrate meals and melatonin supplements has been found to work better for a rapid adjustment of your body clock to a new time zone.

If plane were to be seriously delayed, let's say more than 3 hours, do I change schedule in any significant way?

I would still try to follow the StopJetLag Plan as closely as you can. Of course, do not take any melatonin supplements until you are on the plane and sure not to miss your flight.
